Wat is the different b/w deaf & hearing impaired?
Deaf is - cannot hear, cannot talk
Hearing impaired is - can hear with hearing aids, can talk
tat wat pple said.. I was born hearing impaired (HI). When i was 1yr old, they found out tat i'm HI. Before tat, they tot i was stubborn. (-_-) they tot i ignored them. (till now & then, they said i'm still stubborn as ever. dot dot dot...) i got 2 younger cousins who are HI too.. lol..
long long ago...............
~ mum & dad brought me to see chinese doctor... to.... dun-know-wat-poke-my-ears.. needles leh... oww....
~ bought me to speech & hearing programmes.
~ when dad struck 4d, he bought me to msia. cause somebody told mama the dun-know-wat-temple can heal my hearing loss. (-__-)
~ bought me hearing aids.. useful but troublesome.. ex leh.. can buy me trillion of royce chocolate. hee...
so tat was why i can talk (but my pronunciation sux as ever) & can hear with hearing aids.
For everything they have done for me, i was thankful.
went SADeaf for hearing test by myself. dad & mum wanted to tag along but i said "NO". i big gal liao, dun need them.
nowadays, hardly hear/understand wat pple say. kept saying huh huh huh... Here is the result:
it's bad.. esp the right ear- from severe to profound.. i have been listening to a loud music, the max volume everyday. i have been watching shows, the max volume everyday. i HI, cannot hear mah.. lol.. tat was why my hearing level dropped.
I'm not upset but abit upset.. cause i know HI is always HI. can't cure one lah... haiz.. dad & mum were quite sad. to prevent from this, no more loud music. (F, i promise u.) I don't wanna my hearing level to drop drop drop drop to dun-know-where.......
*roar* mum makes me fed up regarding abt this issue sometimes. grrs.. really can't help it lah.. i mean.... no "medicine" for my hearing loss. can't improve. can't heal. however..... dun get it?? still want to see doctor/mr nice man?? still nag?? there's nth i can say....... =(
after which, went to meet jo @ town..
